Immune deficient mice in which human cells survive and function are a valuable tool for the in vivo study of human immune function and human diseases including auto-immune disorders, lymphoma and infectious diseases. The NOD-SCID (Non Obese Diabetic-Severe Combined Immunodeficiency) mice, common ¥ã-chain knockout (NOG) mouse was shown to be an excellent recipient for transplantation of human cells due to multiple immune dysfunctions. So, NOD/SCID mouse widely used for the research of various human immune diseases. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the huPBMC-NOD/SCID mouse as a small animal model for human cancer research and human acquired immune deficiency syndrome. We established humanized mouse through huPBMC injection. We injected huPBMC in 9 NOD/SCID mice according to predetermined amounts. After then, we gathered immune organs and analyzed them by FACS. In result, huPBMC were not detected in all control groups (non IP, PBS IP), but we could found huPBMC in injection groups as respect. For the most case, the more injected huPBMC into NOD/SCID mice, the more detected. In conclusion, the huPBMC-NOD/SCID mouse is expected to effective small animal model for human cancer research and human acquired immune deficiency syndrome research.
